When ApeX Trading Console cannot do something, it says so: a red card for anything that touched the broker, or a short note near what you clicked. A red card names the action on its first line and gives the broker's own reason on the second, and that second line is usually the answer. Licence messages have their own page.
How do you read a failure card?
Failure cards appear on the chart, and also on your phone if MetaTrader push notifications or Telegram are switched on for them. The broker's reasons you will meet most often:
- Market closed — outside the symbol's trading hours. Try again when it opens.
- Invalid stops — the stop or target is too close to price for this broker. Move it further away.
- Requote or off quotes — price moved while the order was on its way. Press again.
- Not enough money — the lot needs more free margin than the account has. Lower the risk or the lot.
- Algo trading disabled — the Algo Trading button in MetaTrader's toolbar is off. Turn it on.
Opening a trade

Changing a trade

When there is no message at all
- The panel never appears. The console needs DLL imports allowed when you attach it, or MetaTrader will not load it. Install & activate shows where the setting is.
- A hotkey does nothing. Click the chart once so it has focus, and check the checklist in Hotkeys.
- A break-even never fires. See the reasons in Break-even.
