Forex sessions in Bangkok time
Thailand does not change its clocks, but London, New York and Sydney do, so the Bangkok times move by an hour twice a year. The clock above always follows the current rules.
| Session | Local time | Bangkok · Apr–Oct | Bangkok · Nov–Mar |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sydney | 08:00–17:00 | 05:00–14:00 | 04:00–13:00 |
| Tokyo | 09:00–18:00 | 07:00–16:00 | 07:00–16:00 |
| London | 08:00–17:00 | 14:00–23:00 | 15:00–00:00 |
| New York | 08:00–17:00 | 19:00–04:00 | 20:00–05:00 |
For a few weeks in March, April, October and November the cities change clocks on different dates, so one session can be an hour off from this table. Session hours are a convention — banks and brokers in each city do not open at one exact minute.
When sessions overlap
Volume is highest when two big centres are open together. The London–New York overlap is the busiest stretch of the day for EURUSD, GBPUSD and gold: 19:00–23:00 Bangkok time from April to October, 20:00–00:00 from November to March. Tokyo–London (14:00–16:00 or 15:00–16:00) is shorter and quieter, and Sydney–Tokyo covers the Asian morning.
ICT kill zones in Bangkok time
Kill zones come from ICT (Inner Circle Trader): short windows of the day when, in that approach, price is most likely to make its move — usually a run on liquidity followed by the real direction. They are defined in New York time, so in Bangkok they shift with US daylight saving. Switch the clock above to ICT Kill Zones to see them in your own time zone.
| Kill zone | New York time | Bangkok · Mar–Nov | Bangkok · Nov–Mar |

| London Open | 02:00–05:00 | 13:00–16:00 | 14:00–17:00 |

| NY PM | 13:30–16:00 | 00:30–03:00 | 01:30–04:00 |
| Silver Bullet | 03–04 · 10–11 · 14–15 | 14–15 · 21–22 · 01–02 | 15–16 · 22–23 · 02–03 |
These are the commonly used hours. ICT material and other educators vary them slightly — NY AM is also given as 08:30–11:00, for example — so treat the edges as approximate.

07:00–10:00 New York time, which is 18:00–21:00 in Bangkok from March to early November and 19:00–22:00 the rest of the year. It covers the New York open and the 8:30 US data releases.
What is the ICT Silver Bullet?

It opens on Sunday at 17:00 New York time, as Sydney starts its Monday, and closes on Friday at 17:00 New York time. In Bangkok that is Monday 04:00 to Saturday 04:00 from March to early November, and Monday 05:00 to Saturday 05:00 the rest of the year.

Can I get an alert when the London session opens?
Yes. Tap the bell on a session, or add your own time and drag its line on the timeline. Alerts sound and appear while this page is open. To be reminded with the site closed, use Add to calendar: it saves the sessions as weekday events in your calendar app, in each city's own time, so they follow daylight saving changes.
What is the best time to trade gold?
Gold usually moves most during the London session and the London–New York overlap, when liquidity is highest and US data is released. The Asian session tends to be quieter, with narrower ranges.
