Common questions

Will updating the Journal delete my notes and tags?

No. Your data lives in a separate database in the MetaTrader 5 data folder, not in the program file. Replace the file in MQL5\Indicators and everything is still there.

Does one Journal cover all my accounts?

Yes. One database holds every account you have logged into on that computer, and the pages show the account that is currently logged in. Real accounts count toward the licence's account allowance; demo accounts do not.

I lost my licence key. How do I get it again?

Sign in to My account on the shop and send a new key for the Journal licence. The new key replaces the old one, which stops working straight away.
